For Kids

Did you know that contentment is a fruit of the spirit? To feel satisfied right now with what you have is a gift from God. You cannot earn it, you cannot strive for it, you must sow to the Spirit in order  to reap the fruit of the Spirit. Jesus said if you abide in the vine  you will bear much fruit. Contentment is something that God produces in you as you walk with him and seek after him. Ask God today to make you feel satisfied with what you have. Ask God for patience  because he promises that he will eventually give us the desires of our heart in due time. Ask God to help you remove all envy and coveting, and to love those who have nicer things than we do, and remember the words of Jesus, that never once did a man's life consist of his possessions. Paul said that living your life for God and having contentment is great gain.
